PW Eagle selects FRE®
We are please to report that PW Eagle, the market leader in the Western United States PVC market has reached a distribution agreement with FRE Composites for the distribution, marketing, and sales of fiberglass elbow with terminating PVC couplings.
As part of their growth strategy, PW Eagle had identified a niche market where existing PVC elbows were reaching their limits in terms of tension constraints (burn through). One of the popular current alternatives in the market was a steel elbow. However, pricing of steel elbows had significant impact on the cost of the various projects and this notwithstanding its corrosive nature and additional weight compared to PVC.
After searching the market for an alternate solution, PW Eagle realized that the ideal product for that niche market was an FRE® elbow with PVC couplings at both end. The nature of the FRE® elbow makes it the product of choice for this application because of its very low friction resistance, lightweight nature and obviously price point compared to comparable steel products.

A word from the President
Dear friends,
In the sporting world, we often see players achieving tremendous comebacks after some rough times.
2005-06 has been our comeback year and I am please to report that FRE Composites is alive and kicking more than ever.
In this past year we have achieved in each product line strong sales levels, a special thanks to the on-going support of our customers and outstanding performance of our sales force. Actually 2005-06 results are the best we have achieved in the last 10 years. I can ensure you that our balance sheet is currently one of the strongest in our industry both in terms of debt to equity ratio and return on capital.
In the last 3 months, we have invested in various promotional tools required to support our sales growth plan and allow us to increase our market penetration both geographically and by product line. Our advertising budget for 2006-2007 has been increased by 50%, as we want to capitalize even more on the awareness of our brand names in the market.
Being the market leader also bring along responsibilities such as ensuring that our reputation of being the best product in the market is maintained and improved. In that respect, we are currently planning major capital expenditures in 2006-2007 to increase our production capacity and manufacturing efficiency thus improving our competitiveness. Such investments will be funded mainly from internally generated cash flows, which is a good sign of the vitality of our business.
In closing, I can say, that we are very proud of what has been achieved by all our employees in the last twelve months. FRE Composites is where it is today mainly because of the support of our customers and our employees. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has participated in this outstanding turnaround.
Many challenges still lie ahead. I feel more confident than ever that we will outperform ourselves again this year as we have more tools than ever and such a strong willingness to wanting to achieve such performance. |
